TOKEN2049 Origins is a 36-hour intensive hackathon that brings together 160 of the world's most talented developers and builders. Out of more than 1,000-2,000 applications only 160 developers were selected.

2025 Edition Highlights

The inaugural Origins hackathon debuted in 2025 and was a major success:

• 40 teams participated in the 36-hour sprint, with $100k in total prizes awarded across various partners
• Winners get to pitch live on the TOKEN2049 main stage to 25,000 attendees, global media, and industry heavyweights

Integration with TOKEN2049

TOKEN2049 Origins is one of two major additions to TOKEN2049 2025, alongside NEXUS, the world's largest Web3 startup competition. The hackathon is strategically positioned as part of TOKEN2049 Week, which features over 1,000 side events across Singapore and culminates with the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend.

WiseOne attended and formed a strategic partnership with 2 amazing developers to bring home GRAND WIN as AI Fusion Labs

• Team members: Aku Ti, Vitalik Marinchenko, and Lya Zelda
• A demo showing how it integrates with existing payment interfaces, adding a "Pay with Crypto NEW" option alongside traditional credit/debit card payment methods

Concept: Allow users to pay with cryptocurrency on any e-commerce site that normally only accepts traditional payment methods. The demo shows it working on a platform like Airbnb with SGD payment.

This kind of browser extension could really help bridge the gap between traditional e-commerce and crypto payments, making cryptocurrency more accessible for everyday purchases.

While 25,000+ attendees have taken over this Singapore event, pre-qualified 160 elite-hackers dived into their 36-hour sprint. This one was like F1 of the hackathons. FTW!
